Hey everyone! We received another update from leadership last week about where we will be traveling in the US come October!
First we will be heading to… CHICAGO! We will be working with Park Community Church. Park Church works directly with people from the 10/40 window and trains people in how to serve there long term. They also do inner city ministry, evangelism and so much more! We will get to be a part of some of their training as well as minister to the local community, including people from all over the world. And here’s a fun fact for you: My sister attends one of Park’s many campuses in Chicago, and I visited her church last summer. Isn’t it a small world?! I’m excited to partner with this amazing community.
Second we will be traveling to… WISCONSIN DELLS. We will be working with Bridgepoint Church and Bella Goose Coffee. Wisconsin Dells is known for its water parks and resorts. Because of this, a lot of international students come to work there! We will be interacting with these students, as well as serving in food banks and other projects in the community. We will also get to learn from Bridgepoint staff about Jesus and doing missions stateside.
As we draw nearer to Training Camp starting on October 9, here are a few specific prayer requests:
– Health and safety for myself and my teammates. Pray that we will stay healthy this month, so that we can be ready to head to Training Camp on time!
– Fundraising. I need to raise $10,000 minimum in order to launch at the end of October. Pray that the Lord will provide the necessary financial supporters to help meet this deadline. I am currently doing the Adopt-a-Box fundraiser. I have included an updated picture of the progress so far, if you are interested in adopting a box!
